Staging

Selling one's home is often approached merely as a business transaction, but bringing art into the equation can actually make it a much more profitable proposition. Staging is the art of presenting your house as a home, and a home at its best. It's the art of subtlety and emphasis, of anticipating buyers' desires and determining how to reflect them back through the various features of your home.

As someone who is also immersed in the vacation home rental business, I have tremendous experience finding that delicate balance between "enough" and "too much", in presenting a home with enough personality to lure buyers but not so much as to alienate them. Staging can range from using mostly your own furniture and accessories, to completely furnishing a vacant house, and I am comfortable working at either end of the spectrum.

I can help you with every aspect of presenting your home's best face through my broad network of resources. Whether your home requires painting, targeted updating, landscaping, or a little of everything, I can guide you through the process in a way that minimizes stress and expenditures.

Some examples of staging and transformations include:

Clutter, bad lighting, and dated paint are just a few of the factors that can obscure the potential beauty of a room. In this example, a dark, cluttered storage/laundry room became a tranquil and inviting sunporch.
